The Sanctuary has been completely renovated and plans for renovating Trout Hall are commencing. The Congregation continues to offer many opportunities to worship including the Sanctuary Choir, Bible Study, Confirmation, Altar Guild, Assisting Ministers, and Dorcas. Special events include the Women of the Church Luncheon, Annual Picnic, and the African-American Heritage Program. Because of Community’s commitment to growth, members participated in a retreat to strengthen relationships, build communication skills, and explore the purpose of Community Lutheran Church. Three opportunities for spiritual growth were identified and a plan was approved by the Church Council.

Throughout the years Community continues to grow, affect lives and persevere through this ever-changing society. We continue to stand as a rock through the seas of change, as well as an agent of change and prosperity. We are a community of faith, committed to serving our community. We recognize God’s promise to all mankind and seek to spread His Word in ways that reach out to our neighbors. We celebrate our past, honor our present and look forward to our future.
